These four all black siblings were rescued from growing up as ferals cats living wild in gardens. Unfortunately, the youngsters were about sixteen weeks of age on admission and had therefore missed out on their best chance of being socialised to easily accept humans. The formative period for kittens being between three and six weeks.
Thanks to some great input and kindly patience both in time and effort lavished on them by Ark volunteers both new and regular, the youngsters all slowly but surely grew more relaxed with people while here. Food treats and toys were used to get the youngsters used to people and to approach volunteers for rewards.
All four were neutered and turned out to be boys. They have all been found new homes now and certainly three out of the four made very impressive progress in developing confidence and trust round people. The fourth made noticably less progress but has also found a great opportunity of a new life with a dedicated owner working from home.
Westgate Ark are deeply grateful to our regular volunteers and also to the influx of new cat cuddlers who spent many hous befriending these little boys and developing their confidence.
