Cats surrendered to Westgate Ark should be be made with full disclosure of issues likely to be material to our decision to admit the cat, or to someone's decision to offer the cat a permanent home.

Cats surrendered to the Westgate Ark, will become the legal property of Westgate Ark, and no intereference by a previous owner should be made with regards to future issues affecting the cat.

Former owners are to pass on to Westgate Ark all relevant paperwork relating to the surrendered cat such as microchip implant details, vaccinations records, veterinary receipts, pet passport etc.

Westgate Ark may ask for a Surrender Contribution towards the running costs of the Refuge, the calculation of this contribution may vary. Older cats, cats with behaviour or health issues are likely to take longer to home, and this will need to be considered.

Westgate Ark will endeavour to do the best for every cat admitted into our care, however the time between admission and rehoming is variable. Some cats cat be rehomed quickly and others may take much longer. Our building and rescue operation is depenent on contributions to sustain our important work, we receive no goverment or substantial funding.

All cats rehomed by Westgate Ark volunteers are homed at our sole discretion, and based on our assesment of the cats needs and the home offered. We do our utmost to ensure that all cats homed by us go to loving, responsible owners whose homes are appropriate to the cats needs.
