This youngster was born in a back yard along with two siblings, to a street queen. Living in the colony as older cats from previous litters born to the same mother. Our volunteers are currently working hard to get him used to people, and he is making wonderful progess. He is a very gentle, calm and chilled dude!
Only one left now of these five kittens rescued from a polymer factory in County Durham, where they had been living feral with their mother in very poor conditions. Our team of volunteers managed to successfully capture these five wihtout much issue and are now working to socialise them. So far they have been very successful, with at least two of the kittens giving us their first purrs. When they are used to being handled and are litter trained, then these youngsters will need caring families. In total there are 4 solid black kittens (two toms and two queens) and one black and white tom.

We were called out to recue these three kittens and their mother from a coal shed in a garden in Gateshead. The mother is a lovely young black and white queen who is nervous at first but quickly warms up into an affectionate and well-tempered cat. As the kittens aren't used to being handled yet they can be quite fiesty, however they are coming along very well and are becoming very well socialised by many of our generous volunteers and we are confident that we will hear their first purrs soon.

We are always looking for home offers for feral cats. Feral cats aren't just strays, but cats that have had little or no human contact. We generally trap them from around the city and have them neutered and ear tipped. This isn't cruel, it just indicates that the cat has already been trapped and neutered.
Rather than putting them back on the streets we find these cats suitable homes, usually on farms/ stables/ smallholdings, where they can happily live outside, but have someone give a daily supply of fresh food & water and somewhere sheltered to sleep.
If you can offer a place for a feral cat please contact us!
